Message from the President - As entered into the minutes of the last annual meeting I will not be running for the office of President this year due to reasons that are both personal and professional. I have enjoyed my term and hope that I have contributed to the organization. I will continue to work on the milfoil issue and hope to do more with this problem than I have had time to devote to this in the past. I have purposely not pursued a successor to the office of the President because I want the new President to be viewed as someone truly wanting to step in and run the office of President, and the LLPDA as a whole, in a direction that they feel it should be going. I do not want the new President to be viewed as some one ’hand picked’ from the ‘old guard’. If someone does step forward from the board of directors, I feel that would be great as the board members- to a man and woman- are quality people that genuinely care about ‘our’ lake, the environment around the lake and the people affected by the actions of the LLPDA. However, if someone steps up from the general community- well, that would be good also. There are many people that have contacted me during my time in office that voiced their opinion(s) about issues that are important- so now’s your chance- cast your hat in the ring. You may call any of the Board of directors to put your name in nomination. Message from the Secretary - As entered into the minutes of the last annual meeting I will not be running for the office of secretary this year due to reasons that are both personal and professional. I have enjoyed my term and hope that I have contributed to the organization. I will assist the new secretary in the initial set up and discharge of the duties of this office, and this will not be too difficult, as most everything is digital and in an easily transferable format now. As you may or may not be aware, this is the only paid position of the Board of Directors with an annual salary of $250.00 per year- plus expenses for the mailing, supplies and related costs. You may call any of the Board of directors to put your name in nomination.
